Hygiene Rating is a voluntary Scheme by FSSAI, which certifies food businesses on the basis of their food safety compliance. The Scheme encourages food businesses to improve their hygiene and safety standards and allows consumers to make informed choices pertaining to food outlets they eat or procure food. Getting the highest star rating adds immense value to your brand.

FSSAI initiated the mandatory audits for Food business operations through authorised private auditing agencies to strengthen the food safety surveillance system. The frequency of the audit is determined by the food authority based on the kind of business and product category.

FSSAI initiated FOSTAC (Food safety training and certification) for all food businesses and made it mandatory, stating that there should be at least one person trained under FOSTAC for every 25 food handlers on each premise to raise awareness of food safety.

To ensure the food safety and quality of water used for food processing activities, FSSAI recommends mandatory water sample testing in all restaurants and catering units as per IS 10500 standards.

Testing of food is mandatory as per FSSAI regulation, to ensure good food hygiene and that food prepared for customers is safe to eat. Testing also protects the reputation of the business.
Collection of Samples :
We will collect the samples at your place in each category as per the recommendation from FSSAI. Hot cooked, Uncooked, Chilled/frozen – random samplings are collected and tested to ensure the food safety and to be in compliance with FSSAI regulation.

Menu Labelling shall apply to the following food service establishments: ● Having Central License ● Outlets at ten or more locations. ● E-Commerce FBOs selling food products of those FBOs mandated for declaration under Menu Labelling for such foods.
